Well, as I sit here at 5am with my head spinning on what is supposed to be shipping to Hong Kong TODAY, what is going to storage, what is going in the very large dumpster outside (that is already very full), what is going in the "give away" pile and what is going in our 12 checked bags at the airport, I'm a bit overwhelmed. It is hard to really grasp the reality that we are moving to Hong Kong tomorrow. I am very excited for this adventure for our family, but admittedly a bit nervous about it as well. I know that we couldn't possibly see everyone to say goodbye before we leave, but please know that we wish everyone well in the new year and hope you'll check out our blog every once in a while. It may at times be boring, but it will be our avenue of sharing our little adventure with you even though we can't be with you. I hope to post a picture of us with our luggage that is going with us on the airplane. I'm a little worried that the Sandness family will be weighting down the plane a bit, but we are within the guidelines - I've checked!!

Just remember that any time on January 2nd you can pray for us and for the people seated around us to have patience, understanding and compassion for a couple bringing four young kids on a 15 hour flight. I'm sure some of them will be asking for their money back by the end of the flight, but what can you do? Hopefully, Keely won't be throwing her pacifier at anyone this time. I'm pretty sure the passengers of our last flight with her didn't appreciate the three hours of very loud screaming and being pegged by a flying pacifier that would go in random directions every few minutes. I'm sure it won't be like that this time...only about 12 extra hours on this flight compared to that one.

Ok...I have to pack up my computer today...not sure how I feel about that, but Craig says I don't have a choice. He doesn't think it will fit as a carryon item on the plane.

The beginning...

Though this is not nearly the beginning of this Sandness family adventure, it is where the "blogging" will begin. Please tune in for regular updates and pictures of our life and time away. I'm sure you'll enjoy laughing AT us and with us during the process of moving this family of six to Hong Kong and our yet-to-happen experiences!
